It is said a group of Witches live nearby this pond, and that every day they come to wash their dirty dishes in it. Every week, they wash their clothes in it. However, they use a spell that makes the pond look crystal clear, often tricking dehydrated travelers into drinking the disgusting putrid water.

A nickname given in play on an old manor that sits creepily alone at the center of Scathing Hollow. Legend has it that the owner of this house would kill travelers who stayed the night, cutting out their heart and placing it in a box. In turn, these boxes would be sent to their loved ones for keeping. Even to this day, no one has been brave enough to enter.

SCATHING HOLLOW
A dark and damp land filled to the brim in shadow over shadow, with vines entangling the crooked paths that lead you through various areas in this location. Though all life seems to be void except for travelers, activity occurs the most during the night hours; as the sun is said to scorch the earth here far more than any other place, but you'll adapt.
